ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US
Well, you heard it here folks. It's the line from a really bad English translation of a Japanese video game. It's made it into the SanFrancisco Chronicle and The Register. Way too weird.

Well, I stopped drinking coffee Tuesday after my visit to the doctor. Yesterday, I started feeling sick and last night I had a terribly headache. Today, I took way too many Advil and had the biggest Chai Tea I could find. Miraculously, my headache vanished, as did my vow to minimize caffiene. I guess I really am Too Much Coffee Man.

Visited the doctor today for a regular check-up
February 21, 2001 by Adam in Adam
Visited the doctor today for a regular check-up. A fairly clean bill of health. My blood pressure is a tad high, though it may just be a little nervousness with a new physician. I may try skipping coffee just to see if it makes a difference (though I'll miss it terribly). I'm also getting my cholesterol tested, so I can't eat any food for 12 hours. I immediately became ravenous and ate until I could barely move. Silly me.

Ah, Spring slowly approaches
February 19, 2001 by Adam in Adam
Ah, Spring slowly approaches. I can mostly tell by my sore muscles, as I shoveled a few cubic yards of bark-o-mulch around the yard. It does improve it's looks quite a bit. We're hoping to go for that elusive "curb appeal" that's supposedly useful when selling a house. There's also something basically satisfying with gardening. Whenever I pull out a weed, root and all, I get this inner satisfaction that's hard to beat.

I finished reading Lord of the Rings last night

I finished reading Lord of the Rings last night. Great story. Now I'm really looking forward to the movie. A lot of information is starting to pop up on the web, though it's still a long ten months until the first movie is actually released.

I don't know what this is, but it freaks me out
February 07, 2001 by Adam in Adam
I don't know what this is, but it freaks me out. Evidently some guy at a garage gave it to Sam, because he was being "nice." I, for one, suspect Sam was very, very bad. Why else would you give them something that looks like a projectile-vomiting parrot?
