The pellet stove upstairs works well, and even I can start it! Jamie and I went over last weekend. The weather was perfect -- warm, sunny and no wind. Maybe it's a banana belt. Jeff and Barb are over this week to celebrate their anniversary. 1 year already.

The 2002 Seafood Extravaganza is over. Besides missing the Millers and the bout of GI flu for McKenna, it was good. Miraculously, there was plenty of crab thanks to two crab crews; plenty of warm weather (but not much sunshine). AND there is furniture!

Our e-mail at home has been re-established. So for now you may reach us at jimhanes1@excite.com. We're trying to get a semi-Seafood Extravaganza organized for Oct. 18,19,20,21 weekend. Looks like we can get 4 out of 6 there.

GOOD NEWS -- the downstairs couch and chair have finally arrived and will be delivered to our garage on Wed. Then Judy will drive the U-Haul down on Friday. The first hefty folks who get there on Friday can help move it in! Once we see how that goes, we can continue with paint colors and see what else is needed. This is a long, convoluted process.

First: We no longer have access to the internet at home. Our ISP stopped providing service and we probably won't have time to research this until we get back from Europe. So use the phone! or my e-mail at work.

Update on the painting: The 2 upstairs bedrooms are done and beds are reassembled. (At least I think Dave and Brant set up the second bedroom.) Jim went down yesterday eve after work to start on the downstairs rooms. The washer and dryer are hooked up. I have ordered both upstairs and downstairs upholstered furniture pieces and the dining room table. So things are coming together.

I am planning to call the Bayshore BeachClub today, so we can start using the swimming pool, pool tables and tennis courts.

Everyone has been down to see and help now except for Barb and Jeff. So everyone has a key and you should really think about driving over for a few days during this nice weather!! There are no RULES yet,except no pets and write in the journal!!

I haven't talked to anyone else about this page. We have keys made now and I want to get "beachy" key rings. I also have a journal so we can write down exciting news about our visits. Need a photo album next. No written rules yet, but the disgrace board is still a great idea.

I am testing the new BEACH CALENDAR. We want the family to be able to use the beach house as much as possible. This is a way that everyone can look to see if the place is "reserved". If already reserved, another family group may be able to come down too -- but that requires contacting the family that has it scheduled first.
