Birthday Girl

January 25, 2016 by Adam in Joanna

Joanna celebrated her thirty something birthday over the weekend.  There were a ton of people who showed and it was followed by Bidiot and other silly computer games.  We had a great time.

Soccer Time

December 22, 2015 by Adam in Joanna

We watched Joanna play soccer last night.  She scored a goal and was generally enthusiastic.  Unfortunately the only time I remembered to take a video was when she fell over.  She's been limping around this morning.  Hopefully it'll clear up soon.

First Drone Flight

July 15, 2015 by Adam in Joanna

We went down to the park for a potluck with the other families of kids doing track.  I brought the drone and Joanna gave it a try.

Coming soon to a TV/screen near you!

May 01, 2015 by Joanna in Joanna

Duncan and Berry are participating in Eugene Lemonade Day on Sunday (it's part of a thing by Columbia Bank and Corban University) and, as part of promoting it, will be on KEZI news Friday, May 1 at 11:45 am.

If you're in Eugene - watch it on TV! If not, you can watch it on their livestream: http://www.kezi.com/livestream

If someone could record it for us, that would be super. Hopefully we don't all embarrass ourselves horribly.

Oh, and come by on Sunday afternoon -- and any day after school that it's sunny -- and get your lemonade.

Birthday Girl

Joanna celebrated her birthday yesterday.  All the kids were sick except for Honoka.  We weren't even close to singing on key.

On the Radio

Joanna was on the radio last weekend.  Here are the kids, listening intently.

She's Crafty!

June 22, 2014 by Adam in Joanna

Joanna is an exceptionally crafty woman.  For Christmas I got her a spinning wheel, some raw roving, and dye.  Today was the Black Sheep gathering at the fairgrounds, so we left her there and I took the kids to the library.  Upon her return, she began dying the wool, pouring strange liquids on roving, then encasing them in plastic wrap and steaming them.  They turned out surprisingly well and are currently drying on our patio.  I imagine she'll start spinning it into yarn relatively soon.  Who knows what they'll eventually become.

Getting Ink Done

April 20, 2014 by Adam in Joanna

When I first met Joanna, she got a small tattoo to cover up a mole she had removed.  While she was okay with it, she always wanted to spruce it up a bit.  I'm not sure if it was my piratey influence or more likely a deeper meaning, but she went with a compass rose.  I think it turned out quite well.

The Christians and the Pagans

Joanna sung at the solstice celebration at church last night.  It was lovely and well received.

5K!

September 27, 2013 by Adam in Joanna

Joanna ran a 5K last weekend, and just found a photo today.  None of us managed to get out to cheer her on, but she powered through and made it to the end with only slightly sore legs for a couple days.

Now that school has started, she's managed to get back into the exercise routine, watching The Americans on the exerpod in the basement.

Good job, sweetie!
