Today was MY first day at preschool, as snack parent. Sam did great, and seemed to enjoy school more than ever. I, however, worked my ass off trying to give attention to 18 energetic three-year-olds while performing my required duties. I need a nap. Preferrably someplace quiet and semi-tropical. I am excited to hear about Mom and Jim's trip to Europe which ends tomorrow (sorry guys)...maybe they can update me at my retreat to the beach house the weekend after my birthday (which is the 19th, if you were wondering ;-)

Although I am exhausted from the week's trauma, I'd like to take this time to thank a few key people: My Mom was wonderful about helping keep me calm and Sam entertained on our trip to he_ _... um, the beach. Although it wasn't the vacation we were planning, I am so glad I had another adult around to share the joy.
And to Adam, who, while he was alone in the house, hammered down a six-pack AND our new bannister! Thanks honey, I should leave more often :-)
