Nothing to exciting in our lives these days

Nothing to exciting in our lives these days. We've mostly been trying to beat the heat by sleeping on the back deck and going swimming after work.
Robbie's dad is talking about coming to visit at the begining og August, so my frantic house cleaning begins. Actually this time I've suckered Sadie into doing it for us. Thanks to George Bush, Robbie and I have extra money that we don't plan on funneling back into the main stream economy. Instead we thought we'd give spending money to my liberal feminist sister and the Latino Market. Sounded good to us!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!
Isa, Robbie and I met at the Oakway center for dinner last night and then went shopping for a birthday card for the above mentioned birthday girl. Isa had a great time at the card store coloring (they had a table set up for kids) while I actually got to putter around.
We slept out on our deck last night. Retreating from the hot house after several nights of miserable sleep. We dragged our matress out and hung a tent of mosquito netting over us. Isa loved the tent feel and watching the stars. Robbie and I dropped off to sleep quickly, but I woke up a short while later because Isa still talking quietly about all of the stars. It sure did make me wish I wasn't so darn blind!

We went to Kai and Chris' wedding on Sat

We went to Kai and Chris' wedding on Sat. It was a really beautiful service and reception. I haven't been to Kai's mom's house (where the reception was) for years, and they have transformed it into a miniture paradise!
On Sunday we went to the Latino Market and poked around.
Robbie, Isa nad Hanni are off to Bend today. It should be a nice trip. We're experimenting on Isa's allergies, by not giving her her med's this morning and seeing if they only act up in the valley. Nothing like using our kid as a guinea pig!

Adam and Jamie's anniversary is a reminder that eight years ago today Sadie and I set off on our wild cross country road trip! We covered 30 states in 2 months, ate dust, drank rain and learned to swear like truckers.
